Product Overview
The Ceiling Suspended Laminar Air Flow (LAF) Unit is designed to deliver a column of ISO Class 5 unidirectional downflow air over critical work zones — operating tables, filling lines, or aseptic staging areas — without consuming any floor or wall space. Suspended from the structural ceiling or a dedicated support frame, the unit houses a bank of H14 HEPA filters in a plenum fed by a remote AHU or an integral EC fan module. The clean canopy dimensions are customisable from 1.2 m × 1.2 m to 3.0 m × 3.0 m, and units can be daisy-chained for larger coverage areas. The downflow velocity is factory-set and field-adjustable within a range of 0.25–0.50 m/s to suit the specific application. A stainless steel perforated face provides uniform air distribution without turbulence-inducing obstacles. Integration with building management systems is possible via 0–10V analogue or Modbus RTU interfaces. Optional motorised lift systems allow the unit to be raised for maintenance access without disturbing the sterile environment.
